Editorial Board Announcement: Introducing Dr. Sun Wenming

The Physics Access Editorial Office is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Sun Wenming to the Physics Access Editorial Board. Dr. Sun brings to the journal a distinguished academic background, extensive research experience, and a strong record of contributions to several advanced areas of physics.

Dr. Sun Wenming currently holds the position of Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Science, University of Tokyo (Japan) and concurrently serves as a Researcher at the Manukau Institute of Technology (New Zealand). He has received comprehensive academic training in physics from leading international institutions. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in High Energy Nuclear Physics from Shandong University (2014–2018), followed by a Master’s Degree in Theoretical Physics and High Energy Nuclear Physics from Peking University (2018–2021). He subsequently completed his Doctoral Degree in Physics at the Graduate School of Science, University of Tokyo (2021–2024), where his research focused on quantum gravity and neutron superfluid nuclear reaction theory.

Dr. Sun’s research interests span a broad range of frontier topics, including quantum gravity–modulated nuclear reactions, clean nuclear energy reaction modelling, high-energy physics, and quantum material simulation. Notably, he has developed a cross-scale numerical simulation platform, which enhances his ability to contribute high-level academic assessments of manuscripts submitted in these fields.

With his multidisciplinary expertise, strong international research profile, and commitment to scientific advancement, Dr. Sun is well positioned to support the journal’s mission of promoting rigorous, innovative, and globally relevant physics research. His appointment represents a valuable addition to the Physics Access Editorial Board.
